FireSpy Single Bus Series

FireSpy Single Bus analyzers have been used for IEEE-1394 as well as within the A&D world for many years. The products have an excellent track record and have proven their usefulness over and over again. As a matter of fact we dare to claim that many aerospace projects were only possible with the FireSpy Single Bus analysis capabilities.

Nowadays, FireSpy Single Bus analyzers are used in various ways. Besides the obvious - being used as protocol analyzers - they are also embedded within custom Test Systems due to their unique and unmatched scripting capabilities. FireSpys are extremely versatile and the FireDiagnostics Suite software offers a unique set of powerful functions and features.

With the FireSpy1600 DapTechnology also has demonstrated its leading edge technology by driving the technology beyond the commercially available speed implementations of S800. For this DapTechnology deployed its own S3200 IEEE-1394-2008 IP technology and successfully pushed the boundaries!

Usage Model

A FireSpy Single Bus analyzer is ideal to capture, analyze and monitor one bus on a IEEE-1394 or AS5643 avionics vehicle system. When switching from one to another bus the analyzer needs to be reconnected.

Coming of Age

The latest version (i.e. 4th Generation (Gen4)) of FireSpys represents the most advanced platform for state-of-the-art bus analysis. Gen4s are designed to meet the current testing requirements but also allow for future expansions and upgrades. They provide a combination of product maturity and stability gained from many years of in-field deployment as well as the projected longevity which is critical in the A&D world.

2nd Generation (Gen2) models have now reach their End-of-Sales status due to the unavailability of critical components. Which means that DapTechnology can no longer guarantee continued product availability under standard sales terms. For these models DapTechnology will provide special project based quotations. Please note that Dap Technology continues to support Gen2 models with regular SW updates consistent with the published product Life Cycle Policy.
