The FireSpy9433bTRGD and FireSpy9833bTRGD bus analyzer are world’s only 9-bus IEEE-1394 protocol analyzer meeting harsh flight line and in-field testing. Based on the 4th generation FireSpy analyzer architecture the FireSpy9432bT/9832bT but has been incorproated into an enclosure designed to meet MIL-STD-810 requirements. n fact combine nine FireSpy analyzers in one single instrument. They comprise a significantly more powerful on-board processor and improved connectivity to the host.
The seamless integration of the SAE AS5643 protocol together with its rugged design makes the FireSpy9433bTRGD/9833bTRGD the preferred tool for many Aerospace & Defense in-field monitoring tasks.
In order to support multi-bus analysis more efficiently this 1394 bus analyzer follows the design concept of the FireSpy 9432bT/9832bT.
The FireSpy 9432bTRGD/9832bTRGD have nine 1394 nodes connected to nine synchronized analyzer engines. They are controlled by three dual-core ARM processors running at 667MHz. Each node is connected to one 1394 port. The ports from 3 nodes are combined to one B-shell sized D38999 connector which was chosen over standard 1394 connectors for improved ruggedness.
The FireSpy 9432bTRGD/9832bTRGD are equipped with 15 GB internal memory and extensive hardware filtering and trigger possibilities. The analyzer can be connected to a host computer using the USB3.0 interface (D38999 connector). On the host you can control the FireSpy using a graphical user interface to analyze and display the bus traffic in a user-friendly way; or you can use the API to program your own control software.

The FireDiagnostics Suite is the most comprehensive collection of 1394 analysis, simulation and interface tools for a wide range of applications. Apart from well established and hardware assisted analyzer tools like Monitor, Recorder, Generator, Commander, Scriptor and Mil1394 Signal Monitor, the suite also offers a set of software tools designed to allow the integration of the FireSpy products in a wide variety of testing applications, as well as extend customization of its functionality beyond the baseline feature set provided by DapTechnology.
The foundation for all software tools included in the FireDiagnostics Suite is formed by the Application Programming Interface (API). With its interfaces for a wide range of development environments using C/C++ or LabVIEWTM on WindowsTM Operating Systems, the application of FireSpy analyzers is extremely flexible. With its feature-rich function library, all hardware assisted analyzer tools like the Monitor and Recorder can be controlled as well as more low-level 1394 bus functions.
A cornerstone of FireDiagnostics Suite functionality is the unparalleled level of support for high-level protocols. With IEEE-1394 being the basic data exchange mechanism application specific protocols for the PC & storage environment (IPv4, SBP2), consumer electronics (AV/C, HAVi), Automotive Infotainment (AMI-C), Industrial Imaging (IIDC) have been successfully deployed. In recent years AS5643 has been adopted for use within Aerospace and Defense and largely fueled the continuous growth of IEEE-1394.
