FireMatrix_FS is an example of Dap’s approach to integrated IEEE-1394 analysis and test platforms.

In its simplest form, it can operate as an out-of-the-box IEEE-1394 bus analyzer solution without requiring external PCs, laptops, or other equipment. However, it can also serve as a platform for building large, integrated test systems that rely on FireSpy features and functionality. Higher-level applications can easily interface with the analyzer’s API, enabling a wide range of test applications.

In addition to its well-proven standalone and card-based FireSpy bus analyzer solutions, DapTechnology offers out-of-the-box FireMatrix systems. In general, the FireMatrix consists of a portable PC platform hosting a flexible number of IEEE-1394 analyzer cards. Limited only by the number of available PCI slots, the FireMatrix is a truly scalable system in terms of the number of 1394 bus analyzer engines. As an added feature, it also supports IRIG-B time stamping.
