The Basic Series has a very simply but highly effective architectural design. A standard off-the-shelf Physical Layer chip connects to a highly specialized FPGA which acts as a Link layer but also incorporates the data recording functionality, Trigger and Filter engines as well as the Data Monitor. Recorded data is directly captured into onboard memory.

The user can easily connect the analyzer to his PC (laptop) via a USB connection. All data transfer to the PC is offline, so there is no potential for the loss of data.
