DapUSA New Employee Announcement (29.09.2005)

(Oldenzaal, The Netherlands, September 29, 2005) DapUSA, Inc., the US division of DapTechnology BV, the Netherlands-based IEEE 1394 test equipment & diagnostic tools company, is pleased to welcome Susumu Sito to the team as Senior Field Applications Engineer, based in Phoenix, Arizona.  Susumu is the latest addition to DapTechnology’s rapidly growing Dap USA team. Prior to joining DapUSA, Susumu held positions as senior software engineer at 3A International, Yokogawa Corporation of America, Absolute Analysis and FinancialZ.

Susumu brings  over 6 years of extensive IEEE 1394 engineering & customer service experience to the DapUSA team. His contribution will enhance the quality of service to our demanding and quickly expanding client base in the US market.[more]

FireSpy Software Release 3.4 (21.09.2005)

A beta version of the new 3.4 software is now available for download on our website. Some of the highlights are:

- Numeric Display on the Control Panel now also supports ASCII representation

- Added a new tab to the Scriptor for setting version information on script executables

- Implemented switch/case statements for float32, float64 and (u)int64

1394 Makes Strong Showing at Convergence 2004 in Detroit (28.10.2004)

Dallas, Oct. 28, 2004 – The IEEE 1394 (FireWire) interface made a strong showing in October, with a significant new audio-video automotive demonstration at the Convergence 2004 Show in Detroit. Texas Instruments displayed a 1394b wired passenger car cockpit showing the transport of three simultaneous video streams, a navigation display, and access to an Apple iPOD. It included three displays, one for the front seat and two for backseat passengers. It included as sources an Apple iPOD, a DVD player, a Sony Playstation 2, a live video camera and for an example diagnostic station a DAP FireSpy800 1394b analyzer displayed on a laptop computer. Rear switches allow the selection of the video streams for the rear seat displays, while a touch screen in the front seat allows selection of the DVD, PS2 display, iPOD, or uncompressed video camera for viewing on the front display.[more]
